McLaren returns home

Work on McLaren's first New Zealand dealership has pushed forward - with new signage finally installed. The 50th McLaren dealership will be the latest addition to the line-up of dealerships on Auckland's Great North Road, in Grey Lynn. It's only a short drive from where constructer, race driver and engineer Bruce McLaren grew up. The marque will be sold through the Giltrap Group. On an 18-month rotation the dealership will also showcase a piece of McLaren's motorsport history. Richard Giltrap, joint managing director at Giltrap Group Holdings,  says office debate about what to seek has already begun. “I’m open for ideas. They have a few of Bruce’s cars so there is a lot of debate going on about whether we should have a ‘true Bruce’ car or maybe something later.”
