Marque’s vision of future

Subaru Corporation has unveiled two concepts – the Air Mobility and Sport Mobility –to express its vision of the future.

In addition, the Levorg Layback Limited EX and its genuine accessory parts-equipped stablemate, as well an updated Solterra ET-HS, have also made their debuts at the Japan Mobility Show.

The Sport Mobility Concept, pictured above, “expresses the enjoyment that Subaru offers in the age of electrification, embodying the pleasure of going anywhere, anytime”.

This battery electric vehicle (BEV) evokes the evolution of the Subaru Sport values. The basic framework is based on the concept of a driver at the centre and controlling all four wheels “at will”.

While offering a low seating position, the car is designed to ensure “excellent visibility and perceptibility” for the motorist, providing a package that allows for “enjoyable driving with peace of mind”.

The body panels have been designed to minimise surfaces and character lines, creating a taut, clean, three-dimensional shape for a sense of protection and airflow.

The Air Mobility Concept, pictured below, is said to express the future of “more freedom in mobility” in the aviation world where electrification and automation are advancing.

Subaru says there are growing expectations that new air mobility will bring about an air mobility “revolution”. Engineers from the aerospace and automotive divisions are currently working on flight demonstration.

The all-new Levorg Layback EX has been developed for the Japanese market as a unique models in the marque’s extensive SUV line-up.

Its genuine accessory parts-equipped model stablemate expresses “high quality and sophisticated style” by co-ordinating cladding with the body colour.

Then there’s the Solterra ET-HS – an updated Japanese specification model boasting expanded Subaru Safety Sense functions and enhanced safety performance.

Its DC charging time has been reduced by about 30 per cent in low ambient temperature to improve the Solterra’s practicality in severe conditions.

All these Subaru models are concepts only and will be unavailable in New Zealand.
