Marque opens new showroom

BYD Auto New Zealand has announced the opening of its 15th dealership after extending its partnership with the Andrew Simms group in Auckland.

BYD North Shore is located at 155 Wairau Road, Wairau Valley, and the new state-of-the-art showroom and on-site workshop will cater to all sales, parts and servicing needs. 

It also means Andrew Simms now operates out of 11 sites, with one in Dunedin and the rest in Auckland.

The latest collaboration between Andrew Simms and BYD adds to the dealerships they run in Dunedin and the Auckland suburbs of Newmarket and Botany. 

Warren Willmot, BYD NZ’s sales manager, describes the new North Shore location as “possibly the most EV future-proofed dealership in the Southern Hemisphere”. 

“The site has future capacity to be able to charge up to 40 cars at one time, with eight of those being on a DC charger,” he explains. 

“We are building BYD to be a volume brand and this showroom will support our Auckland retail and fleet customers to a world-class standard.”
