Latest Range Rover hits NZ

A new entry level 2.0 litre Range Rover Velar has been announced for the New Zealand market.
The new model will go on sale across New Zealand retailers this month with a starting price of $114,900 (plus on road costs) - $20,000 less than the equivalent three-litre version.
“In terms of overall performance, the P250 Velar’s 185kW/365Nm petrol engine can accelerate from 0-100km in 6.7 seconds, and offers a fuel economy of up to 6.7 litres/100km," said Jaguar Land Rover NZ general manager Steve Kenchington.
“The new Velar also has around the same towing capacity - 2,400kg braked compared to 2,500kg for the 3.0 litre version."
“In addition to the smaller engine capacity, there are some minor differences with front brakes and exhaust finishers - otherwise we are looking at a very similar model."
The P250 Range Rover Velar will come standard with the latest in entertainment and safety technology and safety systems including remote access from the InControl app.
The InControl Remote app allows the owner to lock and unlock their vehicle, check how much fuel is in the tank or where the vehicle is parked using a smartphone or smartwatch. It’s even possible to start the engine and set the climate control system remotely.
Range Rover Velar owners will also gain extra peace of mind thanks to SOS Emergency call technology with Automatic Collision Detection and Optimised Assistance. In the event of an emergency, an SOS call notifies the emergency services of the location of the vehicle.
