Lamborghini bolts into view

Lamborghini has unleashed its fastest car but only a lucky few will get to feel its power with just 63 of them being produced.

The Sián FKP 37 is described as a “mild hybrid” but it will mostly rely on its petrol-powered V12 engine that delivers 785CV. It also features a 48V electric motor coming directly out of the gearbox, which Lamborghini says will improve performance during acceleration and gear shifting.

The car with a carbon fibre body will be able to go from zero to 100kph in under three seconds and will have a top speed of more than 350kph. Lamborghini claims the car's hybrid system adds 10 per cent to its speed.

A price tag for the Sián, which means “bolt of lightning” in the Bolognese dialect of the marque’s Italian home, has not been publicly released but is expected to be in the millions. However, all 63 of the Siáns that will be made have already been pre-ordered.
