Nick Cassidy has completed his most successful weekend in Formula E after coming away from Berlin, Germany, with a win, a second-place finish and two fastest laps.

The Kiwi racer’s seventh podium of the season and fourth in a row keeps him at the top of the driver’s world championship, 16 points ahead of Pascal Wehrlein from Germany.

Cassidy, pictured, took the chequered flag in the opening race on the first day of the Berlin E-Prix meeting on May 11-12 and then secured the runner-up spot in Sunday’s action.

Mitch Evans, his compatriot and teammate at Jaguar TCS Racing, scored fourth and sixth-place finishes in the two races respectively to remain fifth for the season overall

Their efforts mean Jaguar TCS Racing leads the teams’ ladder with 237 points, a 54-point advantage over their closest rivals.

Cassidy says he is proud of the team for adapting the car to the Berlin track and is “hoping to take this positive momentum into the next race weekend in Shanghai”.

The next two rounds of the championship will take place in Shanghai on May 25 and 26.
