Hybrid ‘bold leap forward’

Zeekr describes its flagship luxury SUV as a “groundbreaking model that sets new benchmarks: when it comes to design, performance and electrification.

The 9X, which had its global reveal at Shanghai Auto Show, also marks a “bold leap forward” for the brand.

As the marque’s first hybrid, its powertrain delivers an all-electric range exceeding 380km, which it claims is the longest among hybrid SUVs globally.

With a 0-100kph time of three seconds, the 9X “redefines” high-performance electrified driving. Its two-litre hybrid engine has output of 205kW output, while the “industry first” dual-chamber air suspension and active stabiliser bars ensure unparalleled comfort and agility.

The 9X’s design is highlighted by 42,242 laser-engraved, diamond-cut lamp facets to create a “starry sky” effect.

Zeekr’s latest G-Pilot H9 autonomous driving system makes it debut in this SUV. It’s powered by dual Thor chips, five lidar sensors and 1,400 tera operations per second to enable advanced three-level capabilities. The 9X is set for global launch in the third quarter of 2025.
