Hatchback gets makeover

Kia’s compact hatchback, the Picanto, has been enhanced with a new design, and advanced technologies.
It comes with the choice between the baseline and GT Line. The sporty GT Line includes a stylish exterior with advanced technology, aimed at first-car customers and working professionals.
Picanto is one of Kia’s best-selling models in several regions worldwide. Within this framework, the latest iteration offers a great feature set. It comes with more standard features than ever before and driver-assistance systems to make city driving easier.
The new light signature, along with the enhanced Picanto’s new front bumper, tiger nose, fender and bonnet give the car a new look alongside the optional LED headlights and daytime running lights.
The baseline model comes with 14-inch wheels as standard, and the choice between 14-inch and 15-inch alloys, and new 16-inch wheels is optional. The GT has an expanded grille,16-inch diamond-cut wheels, and a sporty GT Line rear diffuser.
A choice of 10 paint finishes is offered and a fresh range of modern colours, inspired by nature, is inside.
The new Picanto comes with the choice of two engines, a one-litre or 1.2-litre petrol. Both options maximise efficiency and lower CO2 emissions. The naturally aspirated engines feature improved exhaust gas recirculation lines and optimised intake valve timing.
Both engines offer a five-speed manual transmission (5MT) or Kia’s automated manual transmission (AMT), which is based on a five-speed manual transmission. The AMT offers the fuel efficiency of a manual transmission with the convenience of an automatic transmission in traffic.
The Picanto delivers on its trademark quick handling aided by independent MacPherson strut suspension at the front and a torsion beam rear axle – without sacrificing its high ride stability.
Moreover, its relatively long wheelbase contributes to a natural improvement in ride quality. A quick steering rack means fewer turns of the wheel from lock-to-lock than many rivals, at 2.8 turns, and agile handling.
