Going small and green
Nissan has gone into partnership with a leading brand of electric micro-mobility vehicles designed for cleaner and more flexible city living.
The Japanese company now holds distribution rights for the Silence product range, including S04 quadricycles and electric motorcycles, across its European retail network.
It means Nissan’s customers can access uniquely designed and engineered Silence products, including the popular S04 Nanocar, pictured.
Engineered for agility in city environments, this compact and lightweight electric vehicle (EV) comes in two variants, the L6e and L7e.
Each boasts a strong electric range from 149km for the L7e to 175km for the L6e with top speeds of 45kph and 85kph respectively.
Powered by two 5.6kWh batteries, the Nanocar offers quick and convenient charging options. These include direct charging, battery swapping at dedicated stations via subscription and home or office charging thanks to a removable battery pack.
Offering compact electric driving and smart connectivity, the S04 Nanocar also comes equipped with the My Silence app – a one-stop shop for owners’ needs at the touch of a button.
Through the app, people can access digital services, including keyless entry, location tracking, monitoring of range and battery charge status.
Taking flexible city mobility to new levels, it also allows owners to connect with friends and share access to the vehicle without needing to swap keys.
The partnership follows Nissan’s recent launch of The Arc, its new business plan focused on driving value and strengthening competitiveness.
Along with the launch of 11 new models to “supercharge” sales, at the heart of The Arc is the strategic use of partnerships to drive growth and transformation with like-minded organisations.
Nissan says smart, forward-looking collaborations with innovative companies, such as Silence, align with its goals to explore new revenue streams, accelerate the switch to EVs and respond to the changing needs of customers.
By providing access to new mobility solutions, offering greater choice and expanding into new territories, Nissan adds it’s lowering the barrier to entry for those who want to go electric.
