FSF team expanding

The Financial Services Federation (FSF) has boosted its team to the equivalent of 4.6 full-time staff with Katharine McGhie taking on the new position of business development manager.
McGhie, pictured, starts on April 24 and has a wealth of experience working in associations after her seven years at BusinessNZ, including her current job as its business development and events manager.
The role at the FSF aims to build on its steady membership growth of responsible non-bank lenders. It currently has 91 member organisations that collectively reach 1.7 million consumers and businesses.
“Our number-one priority when it comes to membership is being satisfied that a member takes its responsible lending obligations seriously and that won’t change,” says Lyn McMorran, the FSF’s executive director.
“After the uncertainty of the past few years, organisations in the wider responsible lending community are looking to the FSF as a home to ensure they feel informed, connected, and part of a leadership body advocating for a fair and healthy non-bank lending sector.
“This new role means we will be able to focus on tapping into that potential while allowing our small team to continue providing a fantastic service to current members.”
In addition to McMorran and McGhie, the FSF’s teams includes office manager Sue Bentley, Hannah McKee, who is the marketing, communications and events manager, and legal and policy manager Katie Rawlinson.
The federation’s members range from consumer to business lenders, as well as specialists in motor-vehicle finance, mortgage lending and fleet leasing.
