Ford to cut EV prices

Ford New Zealand is dropping the price of its Mustang Mach-E by $5,000 from January 1, 2024.
That means the entry Mach-E RWD, the only model currently eligible for the full $7,015 clean car discount, which is being scrapped by the government at 11.59pm on December 31, will go from $79,990 to $74,990.
It’s still cheaper to purchase by securing the government’s discount for a real-world price of $72,795.
The AWD gets the same $5,000 price drop to $104,990, while the flagship Mach-E GT is being reduced by $8,000 to $116,990.
Simon Rutherford, Ford NZ’s managing director, says: “As the EV has continued to evolve, we’re very happy to be able to respond and offer the Mach-E at an even better price-point, offering customers greater value for this great-to-drive EV.”
