Fitted with snow tracks
The Genesis GV60 Mountain Intervention Vehicle (MIV) was revealed at this month’s World Economic Forum in Switzerland.
The marque says the concept highlights technological innovation and “exceptional” design.
It attracted considerable interest at the Ameron Davos Swiss Mountain Resort, where it was on display near the conference venue,
It marked the third consecutive year Genesis has showcased a concept at Davos, following the X Concept in 2023 and X Show Speedium last year.
The GV60 MIV Concept has been designed for rescue-support tasks in rugged terrains and challenging weather conditions, prioritising occupant safety and mission functionality.
The purpose-built electric vehicle, inspired by small unit support vehicles and based on the GV60, features a vehicle-to-load system that allows it to supply power to auxiliary devices.
The concept comes with snow tracks. Its features, such as sports seats, medical supplies and emergency communication and warning systems, support mountain rescue operations in extreme conditions.
Large carbon-fibre fender flares ensure the safety of bystanders and occupants while protecting the vehicle from damage.
A custom heavy-duty roof rack has been installed to maximise storage, while the rear hatch rack features modular attachment points for equipment.
“Genesis prides itself on creating safe, well-designed luxury vehicles that are audacious, progressive and distinctly South Korean,” says chief creative officer, Luc Donckerwolke. “The GV60 MIV Concept expands this vision of comfort and care.”
