Ferrari’s first EV just months away

Ferrari has announced it is set to launch its first fully electric car on October 9 this year at the company’s Maranello base in Italy.

The luxury sports carmaker says the EV will be one of six new models it plans to roll out in 2025, reports Reuters.

Benedetto Vigna, chief executive officer, declined to provide details about the marque’s first zero-emissions car but says it will be launched “in a unique and innovative way”.

Ferrari started selling hybrid models in 2019 and those made up 51 per cent of its car sales last year.
