Facelift for Holden Spark

Details have been released of the newly updated Spark.

While Holden Australia discontinued the Spark in April, it continues to be a top-seller in New Zealand’s micro-car segment.

The Spark is 30 per cent ahead of the Mitsubishi Mirage for year-to-date sales, followed by the Kia Picanto.

While there are no powertrain changes, the updated Spark has several visual enhancements, including a new front fascia and grille, as well as new 15-inch alloys for the top LT model. A new lights package adds further differentiation between model years.

“The Spark now features new projector headlights on both models, plus the inclusion of LED daytime running lights on the LT,” says product marketing manager, Ina Economopoulos.

The interior also benefits from some subtle changes, including new seat-trim design and black interior trim on the LT. Functionality is also aided with the addition of an extra USB port, while connectivity is improved via a MyLink infotainment upgrade.

Two new exterior colours also make their debuts as part of the model-year upgrades, consisting of vixen red and Caribbean blue.

“Impressive carry-over features, which are a favourite with Spark LT drivers, include keyless entry and start, leather-appointed seats and leather-wrapped steering wheel, cruise control plus rear-park assist and rear-view camera,” says Economopoulos.

Pricing starts from $17,490 for the LS manual, $18,990 for the LA automatic and $20,990 for the LT auto.

The 2019 LS Spark is already available for a test drive - contact your local dealership for more information.

Holden to sponsor Project Runway New Zealand

Holden is excited to be part of the inaugural series of Project Runway New Zealand, playing the role of official broadcast sponsor and showcasing the Astra throughout the programme.

“The partnership puts Holden in an innovative and unexpected place,” says Economopoulos.
