‘Eye-catching’ makeover for EV

Nissan says it has given a fresh glow to the world’s first mass-market battery electric vehicle (BEV), with the Leaf 2022 offering “more eye-catching style and innovative technology”.

It receives a refreshed exterior design, from intricate detailing to striking alloy wheel options. The car also has the tried-and-tested suite of advanced driving assistance features, such as ProPilot, and infotainment technologies including NissanConnect.

The Leaf 2022, which features the marque’s new logo on the wheels, front grille and rear, lands in Europe next April as the company prepares for a strong product offensive with a fully electrified line-up.

Offered with two battery options that deliver up to 385km range in the Leaf e+, the Leaf 2022’s ProPilot enables it to automatically stop, start and maintain a safe distance to the vehicle in front, while the e-pedal provides the option to accelerate, decelerate and stop with only one pedal for maximum comfort on the move.

The on-board NissanConnect system features Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration. Remote operation of features, such as climate control, are also available via the NissanConnect app, while customers can link their BEVs to Amazon Alexa smart-homes devices for added convenience.
