Elephant scratches itch with car
A wild elephant caused major damage to a car after rubbing its rear on the bonnet as if trying to relieve an itch.
The hilarious – and slightly terrifying – incident happened after the creature emerged from a wooded area in an unidentified location and strolled up to a sedan stopped in the middle of the road.
At first, the elephant plants a foot on one tyre before then walking in front of the car and scratching its rear on the bonnet.
One can only imagine what the driver is thinking in the clip, which has been seen by millions of viewers worldwide since being posted online last month, when next the animal tries to clamber over the top of the car.
The pachyderm then slides off the vehicle, breaking part of the bodywork and a wing mirror. At the same time, the motorist swiftly backs away before driving towards the camera when the full extent of the damage is revealed.
