Ebbett to offer Isuzu and Hyundai

The Ebbett Group has bolstered its position in Tauranga by securing deals to sell new Isuzu and Hyundai vehicles.
The dealership in Cameron Road has landed the two marques after General Motors announced it was axing the Holden brand by the end of 2020.
Ben van den Engel, Ebbett’s group managing director, says: “Securing Isuzu, along with Hyundai, for our Tauranga dealership gives us two extremely successful brands to ensure our customers are well catered for once GM stops new Holden sales.”
He tells the SunLive website the group remains committed to providing servicing and parts to Holden customers but is now “well equipped to offer a whole range of premium new vehicles in the Bay of Plenty”.
Ebbett Tauranga, run by dealer principal Julian Clements, pictured, is set to start selling Isuzu vehicles from August 14.
The move of Isuzu Utes to Ebbett ends Tauranga Motor Company’s seven-year association with the brand. Tauranga Motor Company says it is focusing on shifting its Kia and Suzuki sales to a new site on Hewletts Road, and moving its Honda Agency to a Cameron Rd location.
