Driver crashes Ferrari minutes after purchase

A driver who treated themselves to a new Ferrari only managed to cover about three kilometres in it before crashing and causing major damage to the luxury car that costs about NZ$350,000.
Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit in the UK tweeted the man had bought a high-performance Ferrari 488 GTB on the morning of April 1 and “crashed it after driving less than two miles [3.2km]”.
The pictures accompanying the message on social media show the vehicle’s crumpled bonnet and smashed headlights.
The unit confirmed that despite the date, the smash in the city of Derby was not an April Fool’s gag, and thankfully the driver was unhurt and no other vehicles were involved in the incident.
Comments on Twitter pointed out how high-performing sports cars often lead to crashes because many people are not properly trained to drive them.
