A company has brought in a “60-minute commitment” to have people’s cars ready to drive away.

Armstrong’s has developed the initiative to decrease the time taken to get into a vehicle as the industry faces high demand, low supply and lengthy delays sourcing new product.

It is being implemented at its dealerships around the country, and will apply to a number of new and used models at each site.

“A lot of what we hear about these days relates to supply constraints and lack of availability, so we want to try to do something to ease frustrations,” says Troy Kennedy, pictured, chief executive officer.

“The very nature of buying a car involves countless hours of research and people often know what they want well before stepping foot at a dealership. So we’re making a promise that when they find their car, they can be on the road in 60 minutes or less.

“Vehicle sales are running at near-record levels and ongoing supply of some models is severely constrained, so our new commitment provides an element of surety.”

More than 700 vehicles will be included as part of the scheme.
