Dodge roars into battle

Dodge played up on the rivalry between the United States and England when it inserted one of its cars into a key historical event.
As the two countries prepared to do battle in the football World Cup in 2010, the marque produced a commercial based on the American Revolutionary War of the 18th century.
The advert shows the British Redcoats lining up with guns at the ready as they prepare to face US President George Washington and his army.
However, their confidence vanishes as three Dodge Challengers lead the American soldiers towards their enemies, with Washington at the wheel of one car that is flying a huge US flag.
The Redcoats flee for safety as the vehicles roar towards them and the advert ends with the voiceover: “Here’s a couple of things America got right: cars and freedom.”
