Doctor joins Geneva board

Geneva Finance has announced the appointment of Dr Harley Aish to its board as an independent director.

The GP and owner of Otara Family & Christian Health Centre is described by the company as an experienced director and primary care leader. 

Aish, pictured, graduated from Auckland University with a bachelor of medicine qualification and also has a bachelor of surgery and a diploma in obstetrics and medical gynaecology. 

He is a member of the Institute of Directors and his governance experience includes being chairman of the Medical Assurance Society from 2018 to 2022 and one of its directors for more than 10 years until August 2023. 

Geneva’s announcement to the NZX this month notes he also served on various committees during his tenure at the society.

In line with the NZX Listing Rules, Aish will retire and stand for election at the next Geneva Finance annual shareholder meeting.
