Daughter pulls off car ‘chip’ prank

An embarrassed father has been able to see the funny side of a prank his daughter played on him after a clip of the gag has become an online hit.

Ciara Campbell shared footage of her dad Karl’s reacting to news his car might be damaged on TikTok and it has since gained traction at a number of websites worldwide.

Karl is seen in the video marching out to check on his vehicle at their home in Dublin, Ireland, after being told there is a chip on it.

However, his concerned expression soon turns to a smile when he realises the chip is of the potato variety and not one out of the car’s paintwork.

Ciara says her dad had been busy working at the time and “his mind was elsewhere so I knew he’d easily believe it and get a good reaction out of it”.

“Afterwards he just kept laughing and couldn’t believe he had fallen for it,” she tells Storyful.
