The schedule for the inaugural Toyota 86 Trophy Series has been confirmed, and it will see the inclusion of a mini-enduro race to give drivers and teams a taste of racing other than sprints.

The competition has been designed to provide a sustainable professional environment for the older TR86 model, and an entry-level winter event for those perhaps looking to progress to the GR86 Championship.

Hampton Downs will host the first round from May 9-10 at the HRC Finale weekend. The drivers then go to Taupo International Motorsport Park as part of the Taupo Winter Series from June 21-22 before heading to Manfeild – Circuit Amon on the weekend of July 5-6.

It’s then back to Taupo for the final round from July 26-27 as part of the Taupo Winter Series with a mini-enduro.

Each race weekend will include two practice sessions, one qualifying session and two or three races giving drivers plenty of time to learn their vehicles and the circuits.
