Company hails reappointment

Automotive Technologies Ltd (ATL) is celebrating being reappointed as a border-inspection organisation (BIO) by Waka Kotahi New Zealand Transport Agency.

Officials have been reviewing the operations of eight BIOs since the application process for appointments began in December 2019. ATL is among those to be rewarded with the maximum period of five years starting from July 2021. 

Shuji Kurumiya, pictured, chief executive officer, says: “With this reappointment ATL can continue to offer the highest quality, independent pre-export inspection services to our customers.”

He notes ATL also holds approval from the Ministry for Primary Industries as an approved offshore heat treatment provider for used vehicles and machinery, as well as being approved as a pre-export bio-security inspection provider for New Zealand.
