Cockatoo loves car-surfing

A cockatoo that enjoys car-surfing at low speeds has become a viral sensation after its owner shared hilarious footage of the bird in action.

Koko can be seen hanging onto the door with the breeze ruffling his feathers as his owner, Gera Kassimov, drives around Maui, Hawaii.

After a friend suggested creating a TikTok account showing Koko’s various antics, which also include enjoying rap music and interacting with locals, Kassimov says clips of the bird have been seen by tens of millions of people worldwide.

“Koko enjoys car-surfing at low speeds, he flies freely around the property, I take him everywhere we go, he’s never caged nor clipped, ever,” he told the Independent.

“Koko loves to interact with people and in general, he’s just a very happy bird.”
