Mazda reveals electric SUV pricing
Mazda NZ has revealed pricing for the CX-6e SUV with the Takami starting from $58,990 plus on-road costs.
That’s the same as its sibling, the all-electric 6e sedan, and it will be the marque’s latest EV when it arrives on our shores at the end of this year.
The SUV features a 78kWh lithium iron phosphate battery that provides a WLTP driving range of up to 468km.
The CX-6e’s battery powers a single electric motor on the rear axle. It produces 190kW and 290Nm of torque.
It can be topped up at 195kW using a DC fast-charger, which will replenish the battery from 10-80 per cent in about 24 minutes. As for AC, it is rated to 11kW, which means about eight hours for a full charge using a wallbox at home.
The CX-6e, which only comes in Takami guise, is quite a bit larger than the CX-5 at 1,935mm wide and 4,850mm long. It does, however, have a lower roofline at 1,620mm. It has a slightly smaller boot at 363 litres, but comes with an 83l frunk under the bonnet.
On the inside, its 26-inch display stretches across the dash, and has been designed to let the driver and passenger operate it. Exterior colours – except for purple – have yet to be confirmed, although black or white leather interior will be available in New Zealand.
The CX-6e SUV and 6e sedan are the result of a Mazda-Changan joint venture, and the EVs share many underpinnings with Deepal’s S07.
