Carmaker hires dog with real byte
FRIDAY FUNNY: Meet Rover, the robotic quadruped driven by AI and working for JLR, not chasing cats. PLUS – video
Posted on 27 December, 2024
Fancy meeting Rover, the four-legged robotic canine doing its bit in JLR’s plan to electrify its brands by 2030?
Based at the company’s electric-car test and build facility in Coventry, England, Rover’s role is of “critical importance”, apparently.
Driven by AI, it spots potential operational issues. And just like an actual dog, Rover has a “kennel” for charging its 50-volt battery between shifts.
Seen something funny? We would love readers to tell us about any entertaining videos, pictures or stories related to all things automotive they have seen and want to share as a future Friday Funny. Email them to editor@autofile.co.nz.
