Car buying service launched

A new organisation has been launched to help streamline the traditional car buying process. The Car Brokers offers a complete end-to-end service that benefits both the customer and the dealer.

Talking to Autofile Online, company founder Nick Tyler saw a real opportunity in transforming and improving how Kiwi customers and businesses purchase vehicles.

“The idea came about when I moved back from Australia and I needed to buy a car,” says Tyler. “I went through the process to find one. I found that the ability to research and understand what car was best for me was a really long-winded process. “I was looking at a way that I could tap into an online environment that can assist businesses and consumers in a simple way that added real value. I thought about it in a holistic way and tried to tie in as many services as possible.”

“We hand-hold customers through the process and offer as much or as little support as they require,” adds Tyler. “We want people to be fully informed and in control. It’s their buying decision – we just provide advice and take care of the hard and time-consuming parts for them.”

“We operate a bit like a personal shopper or a concierge for the car buyer.”

Dealerships to benefit

The new service also helps dealerships by providing them with pre-qualified and ready-to-buy customers, says Tyler.

“Dealers in our network will benefit from new leads they didn’t have yesterday,” he adds. “We want every customer to have a good experience when buying a vehicle and we’re confident car dealers we do business with can provide that experience.

“We see ourselves as an enabler to the industry, not a disrupter. We work in partnership with dealers – not in competition with them – in what will result in a better experience for those looking to buy their next car.”

“Additionally we promote the benefits of buying from a registered motor vehicle trader and point out the pitfalls of buying privately.”
