Cadillac wipes out GST

Cadillac has announced a limited-time offer that means New Zealand consumers will effectively pay zero GST when buying a new Lyriq before the end of September.
The brand, part of General Motors (GM), launched in New Zealand this year with the Lyriq available in two grades – Luxury and Sport.
Both variants share the same twin-motor AWD powertrain, with output figures of 388kW and 610Nm, along with a 102kWh battery from GM that delivers a range of 530km.
GM Australia and New Zealand says customers buying one of the 2025 all-electric SUVs during the offer period will receive a discount equivalent to the total GST amount on their purchase.
It adds savings under the promotion start from $16,000, depending on the specification, with models due to be delivered by the end of November.
