Brand expands southern reach

Omoda Jaecoo has added a 13th dealership to its national network after announcing a partnership with Southern Motor Group in Dunedin.

The brand’s vehicles are due to start hitting the market next month with the launch of the Omoda C5 and Omoda E5, and there are plans to release eight models in New Zealand over the next two years.

Sheldon Humphries, country manager of Omoda Jaecoo, says building a stronger presence in the South Island is a key part of its business expansion plan. Its only other South Island site at present is Blackwells Omoda in Christchurch.

“We are excited to embark on this journey with Southern Motor Group,” adds Humphries. “Our goal is to provide Kiwis with advanced, technology-driven transportation options that are both cleaner and greener.

“By doing this we hope to shape a brighter future and bringing the evolution of intelligent green mobility to the forefront through a highly reputable dealer network across New Zealand.”
