Brand adds new dealerships
JAC has announced it is expanding into a number of regions across the country after establishing its presence at six new locations.
Five of these are full ute dealerships offering sales and servicing, while a service-only facility has been added at Saxton Autos in Wellington.
The new sales locations are at Tristram Northland in Whangarei, Alan Berry Motors in Gisborne, Palmfeild Motors in Palmerston North, HMC Levin in Levin and Dunedin’s Gilmour Motors.
The Chinese brand made its New Zealand debut this year with the launch of its T9 Ute, which is now available at 11 sales locations nationwide.
Andrew Craw, JAC New Zealand’s general manager, says: “We’re stoked to welcome the new dealership teams to the JAC.
“We’ve worked closely with each team to make sure they’re the right fit for JAC and we're confident they’ll help us build a strong presence in these regions.”
The expansion of the brand coincides with strengthened truck support from Southpac Trucks, JAC’s “sister” organisation.
Southpac Trucks has been providing servicing support for JAC Trucks nationwide and will now also handle sales in the North and South Islands.
Craw adds: “At JAC, we’re committed to building lasting support for the brand with our Kiwi-backed teams, whether that’s for truck or ute.”
‘Creating a stir’
HMC Levin, which has been operating for more than 35 years and sells new Suzukis and a range of used cars, says it is proud to add the international brand to its business.
Todd Isaacs, operations manager, says: “We’re really excited to welcome JAC Motors to our community. The T9 2L turbo-charged 4WD diesel ute has just landed and it’s already creating a stir.”
HMC Levin was founded by the late Gary McKelvie in 1989 and began as a Holden dealership on Oxford Street before moving to Bristol Street in 2004.
