Boosts for S&P’s team

S&P Global Mobility has appointed Peadar Walsh as general manager of mobility for Australia and New Zealand, and Ian Bennett as a business development specialist to its global commercial organisation.

Both will play critical roles in driving strategic growth and enhancing the company’s presence and service to customers in the region.

Walsh, pictured left, joins S&P Global Mobility from Jato Dynamics where he was global head of digital marketplaces, and was responsible for setting and executing the launch strategy for its digital marketplaces vertical.

His career includes leadership positions at General Motors Holden, Volkswagen Financial Services and as a dealer principal for Nissan.

With a wealth of experience specific to the Kiwi and Australian markets, Walsh is well-equipped to lead the local team in the mobility sector.

“We are thrilled to have Peadar on board,” says Audrey Tedford, global vice-president of S&P Global Mobility. “His leadership, and understanding of the automotive and mobility sectors, will be an asset to our business as we serve clients and expand our footprint in Australia and New Zealand.”

Bennett, pictured right, has joined the organisation as a business development specialist. His past roles include strategic consulting, sales, marketing and product, change management and operational enhancements.

He previously worked with Carbar, where he was instrumental in transformative growth initiatives and strategic partnerships.

Bennett also has held senior positions with Stratton Finance & Carconnect and, before that, sales roles for Porsche and BMW. His industry background will be instrumental in supporting strategic objectives and delivering solutions to clients.

“We are excited to welcome Ian to the team,” says Tedford. “His expertise and vision will complement Peadar’s leadership as we enhance our offerings in the ANZ automotive sector.”

The two appointments are part of the company’s ongoing commitment to deliver S&P Global Mobility insights and solutions to clients on both sides of the Tasman, and connect with teams across global markets.

The business provides insights from automotive data, enabling its customers to anticipate change and make decisions. It’s a division of S&P Global, the world’s “foremost” provider of credit ratings, benchmarks, analytics and workflow solutions in the global capital, commodity and motor-vehicle markets.
