Audi showcases electrified range

Audi New Zealand has announced it will be expanding its range of plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models next year as well as introducing the fully electric Q4 e-tron.

The company is running a roadshow that is visiting dealerships across the country between now and October to offer dealers and consumers a glimpse of the models that will be hitting our market in 2023.

PHEVs on the tour include pre-production models of the A3 TFSI e, pictured, Q3 TFSI e and Q5 TFSI e. The Q7 TFSI e and Q8 TFSI e are not part of the roadshow but are expected to join the local line-up next year.

Dean Sheed, general manager of Audi NZ, says the new Q4 e-tron is also available to view and test drive over the coming months and the marque predicts the latest models will sell out here before they arrive.

“It has been seven years since we last launched a plug-in hybrid in New Zealand, and the market has changed considerably since then,” he adds.

“The vast range of vehicles will allow customers of all lifestyles to make a change towards a more sustainable way of living.”

The Q4 e-tron boasts a range of up to 528km, while the top-of-the-range Q4 50 e-tron quattro has two electric motors to provide all-wheel drive, a maximum output of 220kW and can clock 0-100kph in 6.2 seconds.
