Archibald and Shorter Greenlane’s dealer principal is predicting another “stellar year” after the company repeated its success of 2019 and was named Jaguar Land Rover Supreme Retailer of the Year for 2020.

The dealership is celebrating after scooping the national award for excellence in vehicle retailing along with the Jaguar Land Rover New Zealand Retail Marketing Team Award.
Part of the Giltrap Group, it was also runner-up in five other categories including the overall Land Rover retailer, new car sales and approved pre-owned awards.

Lee Small, dealer principal, says the team is delighted its hard work has been recognised.

“I’m very proud of my team and their performance, we’ve all worked hard over the last four years in sometimes trying situations and have forged a real customer-focused, can-do attitude,” explains Small.
“Winning the supreme dealer again is a great recognition and something we all share in. I think the key is to enjoy what you do and to want to deliver all the time the best you can.”

He adds 2020 has brought “its fair share of surprises” but demand has picked up in recent weeks “and we are back on track to have another stellar year”.
Steve Kenchington, general manager at Jaguar Land Rover New Zealand, says the awards for the dealership are thoroughly deserved.

“The Greenlane team is a credit to the retail network we support – their commitment to the continuous development of the customer experience in their retail environment has raised the bar and we are confident that the rest of the country will follow,” he says.

Archibald and Shorter North Shore won the Jaguar New Zealand Retailer of the Year award, while Duncan and Ebbett Tauranga prevailed in the Land Rover New Zealand Retailer of the Year category. Both businesses enjoyed record sales and achieved financial growth in the year to March 31, 2020.

Other winners at the Jaguar Land Rover New Zealand Retailer Excellence Awards were Bayswater European for the new car sales team gong, Archibald’s Motors Christchurch took out the service team and parts team awards, and Duncan and Ebbett Hamilton was tops in the business manager and approved pre-owned sections.
