Annual meetings go digital

Heartland Group and Marsden Maritime Holdings Ltd (MMH) have announced their upcoming annual meetings will now be held online only because of the Covid-19 alert level settings affecting the country.

Both companies have revealed the shift to virtual events in releases to the NZX. Heartland shareholders can login for its meeting at 2pm on October 28, while MMH’s one takes place at the same time on November 4.

Shareholders will be able to view the Heartland presentation, vote on resolutions and ask questions through the online platform during the event.

The company says the webcast will also be available on its website about 24 hours after the conclusion of the live event.

Meanwhile, an MMH statement says: “Due to the current uncertainty surrounding Covid-19 and alert level status, the board of directors of Marsden Maritime Holdings have decided to hold the annual meeting online, rather than in person at Marsden Cove Marina as previously advised.

“The board’s concern is keeping shareholders and guests safe and [it] has determined that a virtual meeting is the safest method of holding a meeting at this time.”
