All-electric V7E tops segment

Farizon NZ has notched up its strongest month yet with its V7E cementing its position as the country's best-selling electric van.

The marque achieved 52 registrations in June for its highest monthly total since launching in November, placing it among the top 10 best-selling EV brands in New Zealand for the month for passenger and commercial vehicles.

The result caps a strong first half for the V7E with it securing a 44 per cent share of the BEV van segment year to date, more than any other electric van on the market.

Kevin Richard, Farizon NZ’s brand manager, says the result reflects growing confidence in the marque and the case for electric commercials.

He adds: “These numbers speak for themselves. When you’re taking 44 per cent of the electric van market and cracking the top 10 EV brands overall in a single month, that’s not a niche result. That’s the market telling us the V7E is the van that fleet operators want.

“Buyers are seeing they no longer have to trade off practicality or price to go electric, and that confidence is translating directly into sales.”

NordEast Group’s managing director, Dane Fisher, says the sales performance validates the price-parity strategy behind the V7E’s launch earlier this year. “We said from day one that electrification needs to be accessible, not aspirational, and the market has responded.

“Leading the electric van segment within months of launch shows that when you remove the price barrier, businesses are ready to switch. This is only the beginning for Farizon in New Zealand.”

Launched on our shores in April, the V7E is priced from $55,990 plus on-road costs and achieves price parity with New Zealand’s best-selling internal combustion medium-sized van.

It offers up to 329km of WLTP driving range from its 67kWh battery, seven cubic metres of cargo capacity and payload of up to 1,243kg. DC fast charging takes the battery from 20-80 per cent in approximately 30 minutes, minimising downtime for busy fleets.

The V7E is backed by a five-year/200,000km vehicle warranty, an eight-year/200,000km battery warranty and 12-month/20,000km service intervals “to give fleet operators certainty” over the total cost of ownership.

Farizon is the commercial-vehicle division of the Geely Group. NordEast is part of the Giltrap Group and represents six Geely brands.
