AA open for business

All AA centres and agents have reopened, albeit with extra measures to keep customers and staff safe, now the country has moved to Covid-19 alert level two.
Its full range of a services, including vehicle registration, licensing, road user charges, AA membership and renewals, and insurance, can now be conducted at its sites.
Among the extra safety measures at centres will be contact tracing, a queue app, limiting the number of customers in store at any one time, maintaining social distancing, hand sanitation stations and plastic sneeze barriers have been installed at counters.
To help keep the number of people in stores down, the AA is urging customers to visit alone or ask family and friends to wait outside.
AA vehicle appraisals are operating for dealers to help trade get back up and running.
Motoring services is also available to third-party entry certification partners and dealers in Auckland, New Plymouth, Napier and Christchurch for contactless motor vehicle registration and supply of number plates for new vehicles.
AA Roadservice urges customers to be patient as it is anticipating a high volume of calls and requests as people start using their cars more frequently at alert level two.
Bookings are no longer required at AA Vehicle Testing Stations or most of its AA Vehicle Inspection sites. The AA is also encouraging vehicle owners to renew expired warrants of fitness (WOFs) as soon as possible despite the government extending those that expired on or after January 1 to October to help smooth the transition back to business.
