Xpeng dealerships open

Xpeng has confirmed its first two official franchises have opened in New Zealand this month as the brand kicks off its long-term vision for “smart AI mobility”.

Its locations – on Auckland’s North Shore and in Christchurch – provide full sales, service and test-drive facilities. 

They mark the start of a nationwide rollout strategy, ensuring buyers can access the brand’s next-generation EV technology.

Xpeng says it’s committed to expanding across key regions, “moving from market preparation to active customer engagement”. Additional locations in Auckland, Wellington, Hamilton, and Tauranga will follow in 2026.

The two current dealerships are showcasing the G6 Ultra Smart Coupé, pictured, which the marque has positioned as an AI-intelligent premium SUV.

Xpeng’s assisted driver-assistance systems have been developed in-house, while the intelligent cockpit is powered by “seamless connectivity and continuous over-the-air updates”.
