Warning over fuel labels

New fuel-labelling requirements came into force at the start of this month and the grace period for compliance ends on July 15.

The Imported Motor Vehicle Industry Association (VIA) says traders must have updated all vehicle labels and online information by then.

Malcolm Yorston, technical services manager, says: “Make sure all your stock, both on the yard and advertised online, have the new fuel labels displayed by Saturday. The EECA compliance team will be out checking for breaches of the requirements.”

VIA’s annual general meeting, meanwhile, takes place on July 20 from 1pm at Autohub NZ’s offices at unit 21, 102c Hobsonville Road, West Harbour, Auckland.

The event will be live-streamed for members who are unable to attend. Click here for relevant documents. To join the online meeting, click here.
