Wacky way to control car

An enterprising student has used his technological know-how to create a system that allows him to control a car using a computer keyboard rather than the steering wheel.

Ehsan Zafar Abbasi, from the Abbottabad district in Pakistan, says it took about six months to convert a Suzuki Alto to its new set-up.

He is, quite literally, a backseat driver in videos posted online that show him sitting behind the driver’s seat with the keyboard on his lap as he navigates his way through various streets.

Abbasi, a pre-engineering student, told Arab News he first thought of driving a car through a keyboard while playing video games as a child.
