Volvo issues NZ recall

Volvo is recalling 180 vehicles in New Zealand after investigations identified that some cars may have small cracks inside their fuel lines in the engine department.

New Zealand's recall is part of a global recall which affects more than 200,000 cars worldwide with the same issue.

Affected models include the Volvo V40, S60 and 2V60 and their Cross Country versions produced in 2015 and 2016. Also covered are the V70 and XC70, S80, XC60 and XC90 built in 2015 and 2016.

The recall is pre-emptive, with zero related incidents reported so far. However, Volvo has voluntarily issued the recall and is in the process of contacting owners.

Owners of the affected vehicles are urged to contact a local Volvo dealer to check and confirm whether this recall is applicable to them.
