Chery Motor has revealed that the Tiggo 7 Super Hybrid will be priced from $42,990 plus on-road costs for the Urban variant, making it “one of the most affordable” plug-in hybrid SUVs in the New Zealand market.

The midsize SUV, pictured above, will go on sale next month with two siblings – the entry-level Urban and top-of-the-range Ultimate.

“Our all-new Tiggo 7 Super hybrid model delivers advanced technology, outstanding efficiency and premium features at an accessible price point,” says Lucas Harris, chief operating officer of Chery Australia and New Zealand.

The Ultimate starts at $46,990. Both variants will be backed by Chery’s seven-year and unlimited kilometre warranty, which includes up to 7 years of roadside assistance.

Chery NZ has also announced pricing for the Tiggo 4 Hybrid, pictured below, will start from $32,990 plus on-road costs for the Urban variant and from $37,990 for the Ultimate version.

The new series-parallel hybrid has a 1.5-litre petrol engine and promises a combined fuel economy of 5.4 litres per 100km.

Harris says: “Adding hybrid power to our most accessible SUV is a natural next step in making advanced technology available to more Kiwis.”

The Tiggo 4 Hybrid is set to arrive in showrooms from August 2025, with full specifications to be revealed soon.
