Miles Skoda has been named the marque’s dealer of the year for the third time in a row, as well as picking up two excellence awards.

The Christchurch dealership collected the top prize at the recent 2025 Skoda Excellence Awards, the latest annual recognition by Skoda New Zealand of dealerships that “consistently deliver high standards across the full customer journey”. 

Skoda NZ says the big winner had balanced and sustained excellence across its business. 

It adds Miles Skoda, which also won the sales team and business department gongs, stood out in 2025 for its consistent sales performance, strong aftersales operation, purposeful marketing activity and solid operational foundations behind the scenes.

Among the other excellence award winners for 2025, announced during a special ceremony at the Onslow restaurant in Auckland, was W.R. Phillips Skoda in Taranaki for service and customer experience. 

Mount Maunganui’s Farmer Autovillage Skoda took home the parts team honour and Tristram Skoda in Auckland’s North Shore topped the marketing category.

Alex Brown, Skoda NZ’s general manager, says the main award recognises dealerships that perform strongly across all areas of their operation, rather than excelling in a single discipline.

“Dealer of the year is about doing the hard things well, everywhere, and all at once,” he explains. “It recognises dealerships that operate with balance, discipline and alignment, and deliver strong results across the full customer journey.

“What sets a dealership like [Miles Skoda] apart is that nothing feels accidental. The results reflect clear leadership, well defined expectations and teams who understand how their role contributes to the bigger picture.”

Brown notes Miles Skoda winning the dealer of the year title for the third consecutive year is a first for a Skoda dealership in New Zealand.

“To achieve this level of performance once is impressive. To sustain it three years in a row speaks to a culture of consistency, pride and professionalism.”
