Team down under grows

BYD Australia has expanded its corporate team with experienced communications specialist Paul Ellis joining as public relations manager.

His 20-year career spans roles as an automotive journalist, head of PR for OEMs including Saab and Porsche, retail marketing and PR at Zagame Automotive, and, most recently, as group account director at a specialist PR agency that drives product and corporate communications for Lexus Australia.

As BYD continues to scale rapidly, Ellis, pictured, will oversee all PR activity for BYD in Australia as well as Denza in Australia and New Zealand. 

He says: “I’m excited to join the BYD team and look forward to contributing to the incredible growth the brand is experiencing, as well as the launch of Denza in the Australian and New Zealand markets.”
