Suzuki comes first again
Suzuki has once again taken home Canstar Blue’s customer satisfaction new-car award as well as receiving the organisation’s inaugural honour for dealership servicing.
It’s the third successive and sixth number-one placing for the marque with the award for new vehicles, with previous back-to-back wins in 2014 and 2015, 2017 and 2018, and now 2024 and 2025.
The award allows consumers to rate their vehicles across six categories comprising overall satisfaction with it, after-sales service, driving experience, point-of-sale service, reliability and value for money.
Bruce Pitchers, editor for Canstar Blue, says: “This year, Suzuki once again dominated our ratings and was the only car brand to be awarded a top five-star rating for overall satisfaction from its new-car customers.
“Suzuki also achieved five stars in the fields of after-sale and point-of-sale service and reliability, plus great four-star ratings for driving experience and value for money.”

“Suzuki’s achievement of receiving the maximum five stars in most categories reflects our loyal customers, reliable range of vehicles and the dedicated commitment of our dealer network.”
Over the past decade, Suzuki has won the new-car award more than any other brand, which Canstar Blue says is a testament to the customer satisfaction the Japanese car brand delivers to Kiwis.
“Therefore, it’s fitting that Suzuki was the winner of our inaugural dealership servicing award and it takes home the win with a stellar set of ratings from its very happy customers,” say the judges.
Across the six categories surveyed in the servicing award, Suzuki achieved top five-star ratings across all but one. These were overall satisfaction, customer service, value for money, time taken and cost of parts. A four-star rating was given for effectiveness of repairs.
