Regional role created
Ford Motor Company has appointed Greg MacDonald as dealer health integration lead for its international markets group (IMG), effective December 1, 2026.
The holder of the newly created regional leadership role is responsible for driving dealer health integration and continuous improvement across the blue oval’s IMG markets. These include New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Vietnam, Thailand, Laos and the Philippines.
The role involves partnering with IMG teams and dealer councils to drive structured problem-solving, and strengthen dealer profitability, dealer sentiment and franchise value.
MacDonald, pictured, currently serves as Ford NZ’s network strategy director, a position he has held since joining the company in August 2025. He takes extensive industry experience – and a strong understanding of dealer networks, business performance and customer needs – into his new role.
During his time with Ford NZ, he has helped advance the company’s focus on vehicle remarketing, supported the launch of Blue Oval Approved and worked with dealers to deliver strong results through Ford Guest Experience.
MacDonald has also helped strengthen the focus on facility standards to improve customer experience, brand representation and dealer profitability.
“Greg’s experience across the automotive industry, collaborative approach and commitment to dealer success will be a real asset in his new role,” says Annaliese Atina, managing director of Ford NZ. “On behalf of the team. I want to thank Greg for his contributions and the positive impact he has made since joining.”
Before joining Ford NZ, MacDonald was general manager of sales, marketing and operations at Tectrax in Auckland for a year. He was with Kia NZ for five-and-a-half years before that where he started as general manager of marketing before becoming general manager of sales and marketing.
That was preceded by working for Ateco Group NZ between 2015 and 2018, and at Fiat Chrysler NZ for two years before that.
MacDonald’s replacement as New Zealand’s network strategy director will be announced in due course.
