Ranger tops commercials market
There were 3,477 new commercials registered last month, a drop of 3.3 per cent when compared with 3,597 in June 2025.
Ford’s Ranger, pictured, was the best-selling model in June with 872 units, down 0.5 per cent from the 876 units sold in the same month a year ago.
Next was the Toyota Hilux on 590 registrations, a year-on-year drop of 9.8 per cent from 654.
Mitsubishi’s Triton was third with 436 sales after a 23.2 per cent increase from 354 units in June 2025.
The Toyota Hiace was next with 231 sales and BYD’s Shark 6 completed the top five after securing 185 registrations.
The Ranger tops the year-to-date standings with 4,916 registrations and a 24.6 per cent share of the market.
In second place is the Hilux on 3,663 and 18.3 per cent, and the Triton is third on 1,932 units and 9.7 per cent.
The market’s overall year-to-date total stands at 19,977 units.
Ford claimed the number one spot on the marques’ ladder in June with 989 registrations, up 0.2 per cent from 987 a year ago, and a market share of 28.4 per cent.
Toyota was next on 868 units, an increase of 2.5 per cent from 847, and Mitsubishi was third with 436, a jump of 22.8 per cent from 355 a year ago.
Ford is top of the year-to-date charts with 5,542 registrations and a market share of 27.7 per cent. Toyota is second with 5,280 and 26.4 per cent and Mitsubishi completes the top three on 1,932 and 9.7 per cent.
Hiace best-seller
As for used-imported commercials, the 432 units registered in June was up 58.2 per cent from 273 in the same month last year. This brings the year-to-date total to 2,339.
Toyota’s Hiace was the leading model last month on 195 registrations, up from 61 in June 2025, and a market share of 45.1 per cent.
Next were Hino’s Dutro with 22 sales, Nissan’s NV200 on 16, and the LDV T60 and Nissan Caravan shared fourth place with 17 registrations.
The Hiace has clocked 951 sales year-to-date for a 40.7 per cent market share, and Nissan’s NV200 is second on 128 and 5.5 per cent.
Toyota was the top marque last month with 229 registrations, a 136.1 per cent increase from 97 a year ago.
Nissan followed with 53 and the top five was rounded off by Hino on 27, LDV with 21 and Ford on 16.
Year-to-date, Toyota has 1,154 registrations and a 49.3 per cent market share. Nissan is next on 402 and 17.2 per cent, with Ford third on 121 and 5.2 per cent.
