Racing series join forces

The BNT NZ SuperTourers and NZIGP have joined forces to create a new dimension to the NZ Motor Cup meeting at Hampton Downs on the weekend of January 31 and February 1. The event doubles as a round of the NZ SuperTourer’s Hankook Super Series and will be known as the Rush Security Waikato 250 & Motor Cup. The event will be headlined by the Toyota Racing Series for the NZ Motor Cup – one of the most prestigious trophies in Kiwi motorsport, which will feature some of the world’s greatest young drivers. The NZ SuperTourers will start the first event of its four-round sprint championship and promises close racing among some of Australasia’s top drivers. Support classes will also be in action including Porches, Formula First, Supermini and the SsangYong Racing Series. And with the first three endurance rounds of the NZ SuperTourer series now over, a host of Kiwis will battle for the overall title over the final four rounds.
