Quirky car alarm frightens thief

A would-be thief fled empty-handed after being startled by a hilarious car alarm in Australia that shouts “Surprise, motherf*****!” when someone gets too close to the vehicle.

The home security footage below shows a man sneaking up on cars parked on the drive of a property in Murrumba Downs, Queensland.

As he goes to open the door of one vehicle, the sweary message blasts out and sends him running away in fright, reports the Daily Mail.

The unexpected exclamation used for the alarm comes from the US crime-drama series, Dexter. The words are uttered by the character Sergeant James Doakes, who is played by actor Erik King.
