Power boost for Deliver 9
The next-generation Deliver 9 has arrived with an increase in power, technical changes and more safety features.
The adoption of a Euro 6-compliant diesel engine ensures the vans remain highly competitive in their respective segments.
Visually distinguished by their new gloss-black radiator grille, the new variants’ engine yields power and torque of 128kW and 420Nm – up by 20kW and 45Nm in torque compared to the previous model.
It also boasts an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission as seen in LDV’s new T60 MAX Plus ute. This facilitates the “seamless transfer” of this extra power to the rear wheels.
The upgrades have propelled the Deliver 9 from its previous bronze rating to gold by scoring 74 per cent in ANCAP’s commercial van safety comparison segments.
The 2024 van’s standard safety features include blind-spot detection, lane-change assist, door-opening warning, emergency lane keeping, electronic park brake and front-parking sensors.
Inside, a multi-function steering wheel channels inputs from a new electric power-steering system. On the move, adaptive cruise control takes the strain out of most journeys.
An upgraded 12.3-inch infotainment system – up from 10.1 inches on 2023 vehicles – comes with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, digital radio and a wide rear-view overhead camera although the latter isn’t available with the cab-chassis variant.
Long wheelbase high-roof vans feature 236-degree opening cargo doors as standard and all 2024 Deliver 9s benefit from a seven-year/200,000km.
Pricing starts at $55,990 for the automatic Big Double Door and tops out at $65,990 for the Biggest Double Door auto.
“LDV continues to deliver exactly what future-focused New Zealand businesses need in 2024 and beyond – safety, space, technology and value for money,” says Kym Mellow, Inchcape NZ’s general manager.
“The Deliver 9 is a solid foundation of LDV, so it’s critical we continue to innovate and improve our product offering,”
“LDV is building a firm reputation in the fleet and commercial-vehicle space, and the new Deliver 9 offerings will further assist Kiwis to work harder every day.”
